American Sporting Collectibles A great door back to youthful experiences are treasured mementos saturated in youthful enthusiasm. Some of us reach back to those earlier decades with sporting collectibles. These can be published materials like baseball cards, advertisements, and books or they may be items used by athletes such as bats and gloves. On Monday, August 30th, at 1:00 pm a slideshow will be presented on Antique American Sporting Collectibles. The presentation will give an overview and highlights of American sporting collectibles from the 1860 to 2004. The program will run about one hour and afterwards there will be refreshments, coffee, and informal discussions. The speaker will be antiques writer Bob Jackman. OPTIONAL: If you have a sporting collectible, bring it to the show, and Bob will be happy to offer comments. |
