It is understandable that they are among the first heroes about whom young boys learn. Through the years numerous artifacts have been created and honors bestowed. On Thursday, July 24th at 1:00 pm a talk and slideshow on Firefighting Antiques will be presented at the Senior Center. The program will run about one hour and afterwards there will be refreshments, coffee, and informal discussions. The broad sweep will touch on fire engines, helmets, ceremonial items and lots more. The speaker will be antiques writer Bob Jackman. OPTIONAL: If you have an object relating to firefighting that you would like to bring - Bob would be happy to comment |
