Photographs Slideshow
Over
the last 160 years photographs have captured monumental moments of global consequence
and fleeting personal experiences.
On Monday,
November 10th at 1:00 pm
a slideshow on Artistic Photography will
be presented
at the Senior Center.
The history of artistic photography
will be seen through works by titans including Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz,
F. Holland Day, Alvin Colburn, Paul Strand, Charles Scheeler, Edward Weston, and
Yousuf Karsh.
The presentation will give an overview of photographic movements
and their primary characteristics.
The program will run about one
hour and afterwards there will be refreshments, coffee, and informal discussions.
The speaker will be antiques writer Bob Jackman.
OPTIONAL: If you have antique photographs, Bob would
be happy
to comment on them.
