Antique
Talk Webster's Sporting Hobbies
From
the Renaissance into the nineteenth century great cathedrals, castles, and wall
cities were constructed across Europe. Both exteriors and interiors offer spectacular
images and reveal the stylistic evolution of Western art.
On
Monday, December 27th, at 1:00 pm the antiques slideshow will be focus
on European Architecture in Germany and Austria. The presentation will be based
on slides from Doris Dubosky's 1972 five-week trip to Germany and Austria. Doris
will provide commentary about her trip, and Bob Jackman will discuss some concepts
of European architecture.
The program will run about one hour and afterwards
there will be refreshments, coffee, and informal discussions.
OPTIONAL:
If you have material on European Architecture, bring it to the
show, and Doris and Bob will be happy to offer comments.
Admission
is free.
While the talk will be organized around a sequence of
80 slides, the atmosphere will be informal with questions and answers throughout
the presentation.
Expect to learn a bit, share some laughs, and have a
good time. |
