Signing
for Seniors Thursdays @ 2:00 PM An 8 week Course: Dates
going forward are: January 8, 15, & 22.
This course will offer
a student-generated curriculum of fun, practical and enjoyable sign language focusing
on the signs that will be helpful to seniors. Many of us find that we have some
hearing loss as we get older and shouting to our partner across the dinner table
in a noisy restaurant becomes the norm.
This course will offer a way to
communicate without the stress! If you have hearing impaired relatives, who use
sign language, you will begin to be able to communicate with them in the beautiful
language of sign.
Learn songs, poems and simple phrases. Exercise those
arthritic hands.
Develop skill in something you have always wanted to
learn.
We will discuss the differences between Signed English and American
Sign Language and learn a bit of both.
There will be repetition and review
and new activities for each class, so come to one or come to all!
The
session will last for with time out for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Fee
$5/per class.
