DRAMA GROUP PREPARES
NEW SHOW

The COA Drama Group
will meet Thursday, July 24th, 2:00 - 4:30pm

New members are welcome and no previous experience is required.
The group will be working on their new play that will be performed in January.
This will be "Wrinkles 6", a comedy about the issues of aging.
The group will read an early draft of the show and help create
the characters for the play.
Everyone who attends will have a role that will
showcase their talents and interests.

If you ever thought that you might like to be on stage or backstage,
we hope you will attend this meeting.
Free. Light refreshments

LIGHTS * CAMERA * ACTION
The Council on Aging Drama Group with cooperation from the COA Boosters, will be working on a fundraising campaign to purchase permanent stage lights and a platform. The drama group feels that this new equipment will greatly enhance future performances for the audience. Stay tuned for more exciting details.

Wouldn't it be nice if our Senior Center had more live theater performances, music programs and guest speakers? The COA wants to adapt the end of the function rooms 2 & 3 so that these special events will be more visible to the audiences. We plan to install permanent stage lighting and purchase a portable platform. Imagine all the events we could have at the center if we had a stage and lighting to make them truly theatrical.

The Drama Group is leading the COA fund-raising efforts for stage lighting and a portable platform for the Senior Center.

The lights and stage items are beyond our ordinary budget. Our goal is to raise $7,600 for the lights by December 1st 2008 and to raise approximately $27,000 for the platform as soon as possible.

If you would like to help in this fund-raising effort your donations can be made payable to "Marshfield COA Boosters" and mailed to or dropped off at the front desk at the Senior Center.

We are seeking individuals, businesses and corporations for grants and sponsorship.

If you know of a possible source for funding, please let us know.

For more information, please contact the COA front desk, Carol Hamilton, Sarah Sullivan or Marci Littlefield at 781-834-5581.
